'Frozen' fever as Disney ride opens at Epcot

Still not tired of hearing, "Let it go," belted out from Adele Dazeem? Well, neither can Disney.

Frozen Ever After opened to throngs of people with wait time up to 5 hours
Epcot in Walt Disney World just opened its long-awaited dark ride boat attraction Frozen Ever After, and the lines are said to be five hours long on opening day.

The belated Frozen ride is located in Epcot's Norway pavilion replacing the previous Maelstrom boat ride, which has been in operation from 1988 to 2014. Maelstrom closed in October of 2014 to make way for the Frozen Ever After ride.

If you still can't get enough of Frozen, there's also character meet-and-greet with Elsa and Anna nearby in the same pavilion.

Elsewhere in Disney World's Hollywood Studios, there's also the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration show, which also similarly debuted under a slightly different name at the Disney California Adventure theme park in the Disneyland Resort in May.

We weren't kidding when we said Disney can't let it go!

The deluge of Frozen tie-ins couldn't have come quick enough for Disney, which saw its Consumer Products division dip in revenues in recent quarters on news that Frozen merchandise was no longer flying off the shelves as the franchise was not as hot as it was the previous year.

Don't worry, Disney fans. A sequel to the popular Disney CGI movie is in the planning stages which may still revive the franchise, although we've never heard of any movie or stage musical in history ever living up to the box office expectations of the original.

In fact, the track record of how well musical sequels do at the box office is downright abysmal.
